Reading Room

BCCHS Reading Room has a variety of materials available for the public to peruse or use for research. A brief description of each type is listed below.

Binder:  assembled by BCCHS volunteers, these frequently requested articles, newspaper clippings, copies of original documents, pictures, mementoes, artifacts regarding a specific individual or topic.

Scrapbook:  assembled by a donor to BCCHS, may contain articles, newspaper clippings, original documents, pictures, and mementoes that were of interest to the donor.

Album:  assembled by a donor to BCCHS, may contain newspaper pictures/clippings, pictures that were of interest to the donor.

Book:  either hardcover or softcover – book was either written by a local resident, written about Berlin or surrounding area, or on a topic relevant to the area.

Booklet/Pamphlet/Ledger/Report/Packet:  Original documents donated or acquired by BCCHS.  Some examples are:  Yearbooks, Annual Reports, city or town celebration information.
